Attention Racquetparents,

Yesterday was the first instance of “severe” weather impacting our swim practice. I doubt it’ll be the last, but fingers crossed, knock on wood, etc. As unfortunate as it is, we are at the mercy of the skies with an outdoor pool. And with that, the lifeguards’ eyes and ears must be acknowledged with respect and understanding. 

The best way for me to convey these spur of the moment weather reports are through the team’s GroupMe, which is used for a plethora of quick, team related chats. In a perfect world, these messages could save you time, energy, and gas. But in reality, you’ll probably get the notification right as you’re turning into the club, because we live in the great unpredictable state of North Carolina :) Nonetheless, I strongly encourage all of you to join if you aren’t in already! PS. Please RSVP for Tuesday’s swim meet by tonight (Evening of Friday, June 12th). There’s also a few jobs open for timers, if you’d like to earn volunteer points and help out. As well as ribbons from last Tuesday’s swim meet, and potentially last year if you haven’t gotten those yet.
