Job well done on Time Trials; it was a great event for swimmers and volunteers alike & I'm excited for the season to come! 

Beginning this week, all families will be required to RSVP yes or no in Swimtopia. We will no longer assume that no response is a "yes." Please, please, please simply log into Swimtopia and RSVP definitively for your swimmer by Friday. The reality is that numbers matter in swim meets- we need every swimmer there. So, please RSVP yes & come to the meet if you're able! If you do not reply, we will now assume that you are NOT COMING. If you arrive at a meet you did not RSVP yes to, your swimmer will not be able to swim. 

If it's helpful to know the why behind this, here is a behind-the-scenes timeline:

• Friday night- RSVPs close
• Saturday & Sunday- Head Coach determines who will swim in what events
• Monday- the meet is "locked" and "merged" with the other team. After this point, changes typically require communication with and approval from the other team.
• Tuesday- heat sheets and other documents are printed with the information that was finalized on Monday.  Any changes after this point must be made on deck.

Of course, we understand that unexpected illness and conflicts happen. In an event that occurs, please notify Christian that your RSVP has changed by Sunday if at all possible (eg before meets are locked and merged). If sickness occurs on Monday or Tuesday, please notify Christian. We understand and we will happily coordinate with the other team to make changes (and TSA permits that)- life happens, we get it, but minimizing this will be so very helpful. 

In Summary: your active RSVPs will reduce the amount of last-minute and on-deck changes needed (that require communication with the other team). We appreciate your help and are happy to answer any questions or concerns that you have.
Please expect reminders early and often as we make this transition.
