Time Trials & First Swim Meet
Good morning, Raleigh Racquetfish Families!
It's official, a week from today we will kick off our first swim meet of the season against the Black Horse Run Mustangs! This isn't the first time we're swimming against them, so I've got a feeling that we can walk in there with our heads held high knowing exactly what to expect!
However, the best way for everything to go smoothly would be to RSVP for our upcoming time trials we're hosting this upcoming Saturday, June 6th. Time trials will operate in a similar fashion to an actual meet itself. The purpose of this event is so that us coaches, parents, and volunteers can record baseline times for all swimmers in all strokes. That way, nothing slips under our radar in terms getting our kiddos where they belong so that they can kick some butt, and most importantly have fun!
Letting us know whether you'll be there or not is just the first step. We also need a core set of volunteers for this event, as jobs have been added and will count toward your volunteer points requirement. So far, everything is looking great! We've just got a couple more spots open for 6 & under boys kid pushers and 7/8 & 9/10 boys kid pushers. A starter is also necessary, along with several timers. You can sign-up and RSVP here: https://rrc.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
Between Christy, Jack, myself, and all of the information we have floating around in the handbook, as well as SwimTopia, I'm sure if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, they can be answered swiftly.
None of this is possible without your help, so if we can succeed and start things off strong, then so will the kids! Thank you all so much! I'll see you at practice and hopefully time trials :)
