Good Evening, Racquetfish Families:

Tomorrow is our first swim meet of the summer! We'll be swimming against the Zebulon Dolphins. Below please find pool location and report time, other reminders, and the volunteer lineup. 

Note: the heat sheet is undergoing final tweaks and will follow tomorrow; though, you should be able to see your swimmer's events in the Swimtopia app. In case of last-minute illness or emergency, let Coach Ella know at your earliest convenience.

1. Time & Location: 5:00pm report time @ Weavers Pond Pool: 4000 Weavers Pond Dr., Zebulon, NC 27597. Check in with ME when you arrive to confirm your swimmer’s presence and intention to swim all their events. Notes from Zebulon: parking at the pool lot is for the visiting team (us!), first-come, first-served. Overflow parking is available at Wakelon Elementary School/Town of Zebulon Park at 8921 Pippin Road, Zebulon, NC. Do not park on the streets leading to either lot. Carpooling recommended. Please do not use or enter the playground, soccer field, or water feature adjacent to the pool. Reminder that even if the forecast looks ominous, we are required to show up and make weather calls on deck.
2. What to Bring: Reference handbook! Critical are black team suit, goggles (and backups!), towel(s), and team t-shirt and swim cap. Zebulon suggests bringing chairs, if you have them, but no shade tents due to limited deck space.
3. Concessions: Drinks & snacks will be available at the concession stand, as well as Barefoot & Sons Food Truck and Sunset Slush!
4. 6 & Under Fly Race for Treats: If you have a 6/Under swimmer and they’d like to attempt 25-yd butterfly after their events are done and before the big kids’ fly events (this can be assisted and usually ends up being a variety of strokes!), have ‘em line up and jump in when the announcer so says! They’ll receive a small treat for their efforts!
5. Parent/Coach Relay: Zebulon is up for this if we are! If you're interested in participating, email/text me or give a shout on GroupMe, and we'll assemble the troops. Don't forget a suit.
6. Volunteer Lineup/Instructions: If you’re new to volunteering, welcome! Pick up a clipboard with a heat sheet and pen (if needed for your role) at our table when you arrive. Zebulon will hold a volunteer meeting (all volunteers from both teams) at 5:45pm—listen for the announcement. Kid pushers will meet with Matt Liles for instructions. The lineup is as follows:
