Good Morning, Racquetfish Families-

We are officially a week out from our season kickoff! Here’s what you need to know:

1. Opening Party is next Tuesday, 5/27! The agenda is:

• 5pm - Check-In, Eat
• 5:45pm - Racquetguppies Parent Meeting
• 6pm - Team Photo*
• 6:15pm - Racquetfish Parent Meeting
• Swim, play, and have fun—leave when you need to after relevant meeting(s)

*Includes guppies and fish! If team t-shirts aren’t yet in, the team photo will instead be taken at the end-of-season banquet.

If you haven’t already, RSVP to the Opening Party TODAY so RRC has an accurate headcount for food; it will close at midnight tonight. (If you miss it and plan to attend, please email [email protected] directly.) RSVP here: https://rrc.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

2. Practice Begins Wednesday, 5/28. Please make every attempt to attend practice Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, so your swimmers know up from down at Saturday’s time trials.

3. Time Trials are Saturday, 5/31. In lieu of a weeknight mock meet this year, we’re holding Saturday morning time trials (with donuts for swimmers and coffee for volunteers!) to record baseline times for all swimmers in all strokes. The schedule is:

• 6 & Under swimmers: arrive 7:45am, swim 8-9am
• 7/8 and 9/10 swimmers: arrive 8:45am, swim 9-10am
• 11 & Older swimmers: arrive 9:45am, swim 10-11am

We need a core set of volunteers for this event. Jobs have been added, and count toward your volunteer points requirement—sign up here: https://rrc.swimtopia.com/swim_meets Please make every attempt to join us to set your swimmer(s) up for success in their meets!

4. Stroke & Turn. We are still seeking 1-2 new stroke and turn judges this year to take the pre-season clinic, shadow our veteran volunteers, and work 1-2 meets. Please email me if you're willing to help.

5. Guppy Parent Lead. The illustrious Carrie Drstvensek has stepped us as parent lead for the guppies this year. Thank you, Carrie!
